BACK IN THE BOOK TO STUDY GOD'S WORD
PREACHING SUNDAY WAS A JOY AND THE FELLOWSHIP WITH BELIEVERS WAS GREAT
We were invited to speak at the Rivers of Joy Baptist Church this past Sunday. I spoke Sunday Morning and Bob Temple spoke Sunday Evening.I spoke from I Thess 2:13 "THE KIND OF CHURCH PAUL WAS PLEASED WITH"
- "For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe."
Following the services, we were invited to have lunch with Frankie Dawkins. Pauline, (Frankie's Mom) and brother Richard, Frankie, Charity and I had a great time eating lunch.
Bob Temple spoke from John 17:1-4. A great chapter:
- These words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify the Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee; as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent, I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
We were invited to preach/teach again this next Sunday July 13th 2008. Looking forward to another opportunity to look into God's Word.
