A SPIRIT PRODUCED JOY THAT RELATES TO OTHERS
PART ONE

(Strong's numbers) I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

PAUL:
Thank of it, Paul, the great apostle, in a dirty Roman prison, deserted by most of his friends and almost forgotten and yet he is going to write with JOY, rejoicing in the riches that belong to all believers in Christ.

THE DEEPEST EXPRESSION OF A CHRISTIAN IS JOY.

Paul’s mind was filled with peace. He rejoiced in the preaching of the gospel. The key which unlocked his attitude? He had filled his mind with CHRIST. This is the secret of the real Christan life: to have your mind filled with Christ. (Cf 2:6-8)

It’s the goal of all man made systems to produce joy. The world’s system is not lasting. But when Christ is the center of the system of our minds, there is infinite progress that will not end.

A WARM CHRISTIAN GREETING: Vs. 2 “God’s grace be to you.” & “Peace.”

With God’s grace flowing in your heart, then peace will flow in our living. 2 Corinthians 4:14-15. Peace is a result of Grace. Luke 2:14, John 14:27, 20:19.

The world say’s. “Prosperity, and every kind of good to you.” The Christian says, “May your life be bless by Christian love.” Greeting”, verses “Grace.”

The abundance of ever good thing is from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

ITS JOY OR DEPRESSION IN LIFE. YOU COULDN'T’ KEEP PAUL DEPRESSED.

Depression would be…… A list.

Joy would be…..

• “A gift from God to those who believe the gospel, being produce in them by the Holy Spirit, because they receive, and obey and apply the Word of God, while experiencing trials, and keeping their hopes fixed on the Glory which is to come.”

JOY!! “True joy is an unwavering constant in a Spirit-filled life.” Produce by the presence of God and His Holy Spirit.



Paul’s joy was a result of his eternal relationship with a loving God through Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in him.

• “An abiding feeling peace, calm, contentment, delight, satisfaction that flows out, deep within, because of the presence of God, being imprinted on the soul and a conscience void of offense against God”
  
  

You can certainly be UNHAPPY with your situations in life, and totally not DEPRESSED, because your heart is filled with JOY in your relationship with GOD.

Vs 3 “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,”

Paul’s expresses his joy over the favorable condition of the Philippians church. He prays that this spiritual prosperity may increase yet more and more, until, richly developed in love and knowledge and spiritual stability

HIS REMEMBRANCE DID SEVERAL THINGS FOR PAUL:
1. Inspired gratitude
2. Provoke prayer
3. Awaken joy
4. Cement fellowship
