Woods wins Dubai Desert Classic for fifth tournament win in a row

This is the third time he has started a season with two straight victories, and it was another sign that the world's No. 1 player could be headed for a big year. Woods now has won his last four official tournaments, and six of his last seven dating to the Bridgestone Invitational in early August.

He also won his unofficial Target World Challenge by seven shots in December.

Tiger Woods fired a seven-under 65 on Sunday to win the European Tour's Dubai Desert Classic for the second time in three years, posting six birdies on the back nine to overcome a four-stroke deficit.

After rolling to an eight-shot victory at last week's Buick Invitational -- his 62nd on the PGA Tour -- Woods beat Germany's Martin Kaymer by just one stroke at 14-under 274.
