SCRIPTURE THAT MIGHT ANSWER INAPPROPRIATE ANGER
Charity was reading Proverbs 29:11 and she was reading the commentary in her study bible. The slave to impulse has no power to keep back the expression of what he feels. Every feeling is voiced; every emotion or gripe is vented. Such a person has no control over his words and actions. While in contrast, the wise person keeps himself under control. Although he feels irritation, he is characterized by self-control; his irritation does not explode in anger. "hold them back still the storm is over."
Every day that you are alive it seems that you could express what you feel in a way that is really not healthy to you. But when you are ready for the day with Scripture and prayer and a nice word from your lovely wife, you just might make it through the day without venting your feelings.
Don't give full vent to your anger: Proverbs 29:11
Don't take revenge on a violator in Romans 12:19
Don't get caught up in name-calling in Matthew 5:22
Don't expect perfection from people in Romans 3:`10
Seek out the source of your anger in Psalms 139:23-24
Ask your wise God for His wisdom in James 1:5
Be slow to speak if angry in James 1:19-20
Release your right to stay angry in Colossians 3:8
Give your angry to God believe me He is much better then you to control it I Peter 5:7
Pray for those who you might feel is against you in Matthew 5:44
Forgive as the Lord forgave you in Colossians 3:13
Trust the Lord to bring good from ;your trials as you might want to call them in Romans 8:28
Stay ready to forgive daily, for anything, even at Staples or Wal Mart. in Ephesians 4:31-32
As always the case, I was put to the test.
First I was tested in putting this duel monitor together. I was challenge to stay calm when the set up was not going as I had hope. Then going to Staples to get the needs adapator to connect the system. And the worker was a little annoying to say the least, but wanted to be helpful. I want to say, okay I get it. But I was nice. At the end of the day I was able to get the duel monitors up and running.
Too I am still very angry at some church elders that just put a pastor under the bus as the saying goes. I really want to vent my feelings on that subject. OF course that happens too often in churches.
So Charity reading that verse in Proverbs was from the Lord, the power of Scripture to be effective in 2012.
