Tiger Wood's Redempton

Brtit Hume did great on O'Rally Monday. He was totally one with his comment. I hope someone will put his comment on YouTube.

I have recently taught that God “calls us to obedience” and not to results. Brit the journalist had the opportunity to offer a safe professional journalistic response to the conversation about Tiger Woods. I commend him because he chose to stand in obedience to God and support of his faith. Adda boy Brit. Now we need to keep in mind that he (Brit) could very well be the new target for what he said on national TV. Let’s keep Brit in our prayers.

My Prayer for Tiger Woods and Family

I like the New York Yankees because the win. 27 and counting.
I like the Dallas Cowboys because the win, (except in December)
I like Tiger Woods because he wins over 85 world wide.

When I say I like these teams and persons, I like them for their game, not their personal lives.

Over the years I have tried to follow those who give a testimony that they have been born again. There are a few over the years. But at the same time, if you follow sports, there are few who are really Believers.

I buy products for the collection sake, like NASCAR. I certainly do not believe they are Christian products.

When I follow a person, its for their sports ability not their personal lives.

As a matter of fact, in following some Christians preachers, I find myself disappointed. But there are some who I follow because of their preaching and teaching of the Word.

Now back to Tiger Woods. Here is what I hope we all learn.
  1. If you're never been to Sin City, its wise to do a little bit of research before you go.
  2. Do not go to Argentina. "I spent the last five days of my life crying in Argentina," SC governor said.
HERE IS WHAT I PRAY FOR FOR TIGER AND HIS FAMILY."

  • I don't know anything personally about their spiritual condition, but I'm praying that this event will provide the opportunity for this young couple to experience God's amazing grace. I'm praying that God will place someone in their path who can share with them the only One with the power to forgive sin and grant a brand new start. I'm committed to pray that:
- their marriage will survive. God hates divorce.

-- the children will be protected from the media circus that surrounds this couple.

-- Tiger will become a better man as he goes through this process.

Over the years, I've watched as Tiger has transformed his swing and emerged a better golfer. In this instance, he won't be able to bring the needed transformation simply by the exertion of will power. However, God is able to transform man completely and to bring good out of terrible tragedy.

And the only way one can become a better person, is to have the righteousness of God given you you by God's grace alone.

Wouldn't it be great if God would bring salvation into the life of Tiger and his family.

Tiger Woods rallies to avoid Match Play stunner
Last Updated: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 11:05 PM ET
The Associated Press

Tiger Woods produced another incredible comeback in the desert Wednesday, playing the final five holes in five-under par to turn what looked like certain defeat into an unlikely victory in the Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.
Woods fell behind J.B. Holmes on the first hole when his tee shot sailed into the desert and out of play, and he was three holes down with five to play after taking another penalty shot from the desert.

But he turned it around quickly, winning the next four holes, capped by a 35-foot eagle putt on the 17th. He escaped with a one-up victory on the 18th when Holmes missed an eight-foot birdie putt.

"I just kept telling myself, even when I was three down, there's still a chance to win in regulation," Woods said. "I was just going to have to start playing a hell of a lot better. Then all of a sudden, putts started falling in from everywhere."
It started with a 15-foot birdie on the 14th, followed by a meaningless 18-foot birdie on the 15th, when he only needed two putts to win the hole. The first overhand fist pump came at the 16th when he made a third straight birdie from just over 20 feet to square it for the first time since they shook hands on the tee to start the match.

The loudest roar came on the par-five 17th, which Woods reached in two with a five-wood from the rough. He holed his long eagle putt for his first lead of the match, then held on to avoid what would have been a shocking departure.
