Good Adult Bible Study Hour at 10 a.m. and Good Worship at 11 a.m. and again Sunday Night at 6 p.m. Didn't you think so? Jimmy Grant was able to come Sunday Morning. And Bill Bower also was able to come Sunday Evening after getting out of SOMC Sunday.

God doesn't recognize atheists.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE CALLED BY GOD:
1 Corinthians 1:22-24," but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God."
What is Paul referring to? Their job? Being a firefighter? Homemaker? Auditor? Waiter? General Manager ? NASCAR Racer? No. He is referring to the work of God in calling them to Himself out of darkness into light, out of death into life. You can see the meaning pretty clearly in verses 22-24: For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
When we say God calls, we mean the work of God that unlocks our eyes to see Christ as the right and true and wise and all knowing, and the call is so compelling that we receive Him for salvation. God's call is His life-giving order or instruction with authority. Come. If you are a believer today, that is how you came to be a believer, a Christian, or became born again,. This is how you got saved.
Now what this call of God will produce in you is exactly what is called for. In other words. God called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. The call my friend was effective, that is causing result; the desired result happened. I can tell you when God gives a call to you, it will produce what it calls for.
It is like someone comes over to you when you are in a dead sleep, and gives you a command to wake up. And you know how it is, you leap upright. In other words, when you hear the command or the call of God in your ear, you did not ponder and then decide to wake up. When God calls, you woke up. The command was "wake up" and that is what happens. That is how God raises us up from spiritual death. Only God can do it, and you know if you are a believer that is how you became a believer. That is what Ephesians 2:4 says, that God made us alive when we were dead. The truth was, you were about to sleep yourself into hell, and our gracious God woke you up to the cruelty of sin and the loveliness of a great Savior.

Even in this world it is clear that self-centeredness rather than God-centeredness makes you miserable and blind. The more self-centered, self-absorbed, self-pitying, and self-justifying people are, the more breakdowns occur, relationally, psychologically, and even physically. They also go deeper into denial about the source of their problems."
WHEN IS A LOCAL CHURCH BODY HEALTH AND PLEASING TO THE LORD?
1A When God is clearly being Worshipped. 2A When members are clearly in love with Christ and one another. 3A When clearly the preaching/teaching of the Bible is focused on teaching us about Jesus Christ and not about us.
WHAT IS THE OBJECT OF BEING A CHRISTIANS?
"In one sense the whole object of being a Christian is that you may know the love of Jesus Christ, his personal love to you; that he may tell you in unmistakable language that he loves you, that he has given himself for you, that he has loved you with 'an everlasting love.' He does this through the Holy Spirit; he 'seals' all his statements to you through the Spirit. . . . You believe it because it is in the Word; but there is more than that; he will tell you this directly as a great secret. The Spirit gives manifestations of the Son of God to his own, to his beloved, to those for whom he has gladly died and given himself." D. M. Lloyd-Jones,

THE FALSE "GOSPEL" of TECHNOLOGY
We have seen this last month that the faith people have in technology certainly has been false. Technology is not our cure all for all our problems. The Gulf oil spill has shown us that as much as they have tried to stop the spill, to this point all has failed.
Americans have long had an unswerving belief that technology will save us — it is the cavalry coming over the hill, just as we are about to lose the battle. And yet, as Americans watched scientists struggle to plug the undersea well over the past month, it became apparent that our great belief in technology was perhaps misplaced.
