Calvary Baptist Church, Alan Harris family

Back in 1978 I was the Youth Minister, Bus Minister, and Children Church Minister of Calvary Baptist Church, in Connersville, IN. . True.  For the next 14 months I believe I had an unbelievable ministry with the teens and youth of that church. We had an unbelievable relationship with many in the church and those who were on the staff of the church My memories of those years some 34 years ago are good ones.  You say why if the preacher asked you to leave? Because out of that experience God used us to accomplish His will. Of course I did not want to leave, we had a wonderful time. I am glad we still have some good friends today in the church.
This is the "dome" we called it back in 1979. This is there the Teen class was.  I can say that every Sunday we had a wonderful time with the teens. The Junior High and the College and Career class was just as good as we had such a wonderful time.  The workers that we had on our staff was as wonderful as the youth were.

July 07 2012 we went back again to the church for Alan Harris's thirty year in Evangelism.

This is a shot of the auditorium in 2012.  I little different now than in 1978-79.

The founding Pastor was my father's church as a teenager. And my Dad helped him get started in Bible Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
One of the best families we had on our staff was the McMillians.  They open their home up to the youth.  We had the Word of Life Club in their home.  They are still in Calvary Baptist Church today.  Their son David was in the Junior High class.  We had come good times in those days for sure.

Alan Harris grew up in Calvary Baptist Church, and was in our youth class and was such a blessing to us.  Now Alan has been in Evangelism full time (really full time) for 30 years.
They had a dinner for guest on Saturday Night
Our daughter Becky was 3 years old when we were there.
