How did Moses who wrote the book of Genesis find out about Adam and Eve?

How did Moses who wrote the book of Genesis find out about Adam and Eve?
Charles e Whisnant, Pastor/Teacher/ Student of the Word

If Moses was rescued and raised by an Egyptian princess as a baby, how did he learn about the God of Abraham? Do you think he might have been raised to worship Egyptian Gods? Could the OT be a combination of the Hebrew's God and the Egyptian's Gods?

What was Moses' account of creation?
Exodus 24:18; 34:28;  24:26; and 25:40

What happened during Moses’ first 40 days atop Mt. Sinai?

Yahweh Elohiom invited Moses and his minster Joshua.  The 70 elders, Aaron, Nadad and Abihu went up to the plateau to the mount Exodus 24:1-2; 24:9-11

God appeared to these humans in a vision in the angelic or ghostly form of a man. Moses described His form as follows. "And they saw the Elohim (God) of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness (Ex. 24:10)."

When did Moses see creation?

During this first 40 days and nights that Moses was in the mount (Ex. 24:18), He mentioned the first six days that the cloud covered the mountain

Can You Be A Christian and Not Be A Calvinists?

Someone that's not a Calvinists but a follower of Christ and will never be a Calvinist, do Calvinists see them as non elect, deceived, blind, foolish, unwise, what's the label?

calvinism_tulip600

  1. Non Calvinists are simply put, Christians with a lesser Biblical understanding of soteriology (the study of salvation) and a lesser understanding of Theology, and as a result are less adapt to answering questions about the very God they worship, and in some cases are actually PROUD they don't "know a lot of Theology (the study of God)"
  2. Which, at the end of the day, makes them more likely to convey God incorrectly, as a needy, humanistic, lonely God who wrings his hands hoping SOMEONE will accept His poor Son. Thus, a low Theology is both dangerous, and irresponsible
  3. You can not be born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ without the principles of the doctrine of Grace or as some call Calvinism. But few fully understand the doctrine enough to understand it who are Christians
  4. When I became saved, at seven I had never heard of John Calvin.  I grew up as a teenager and never heard of John Calvin.  I was certainly born again.
  5. Just because you don’t understand theology doesn’t mean you can not be saved.
  6. The problem is when the Gospel is not presented in the right biblical light.

Mission-Minded Servants Do These 13 Kings

SOUTHEAST ASIA (BP) -- Who are mission-minded people? How do they see the world? While they could be found in your church, place of work or coaching Little League, what do mission-minded people do differently?

International Mission Board missionaries from around the world helped compile a list of 13 things that make up a mission-minded person:

1. They want to meet someone who does not follow Jesus Christ. Mission-minded people follow Jesus' plan in Luke 10 to go work "His harvest." They actively seek out non-believers for conversations and friendship.

2. They continually look for creative ways to share the Gospel. Mission-minded people find intentional ways to share so that people understand. It is not a "canned presentation" but relative to that person/group. They do the abnormal, irrational, counter-intuitive, and take risks all in an effort to share Christ.

3. They have a different worldview. They think more about the world, culture and languages than they do about the tiny place where they live. They understand that the Gospel is not just for them but for all people. They are committed to getting it to the rest of the world.

4. They hear the voice of God and are obedient. Mission-minded people hear the voice of God and obey when He tells them to go across the street, to another town, state or country to share about His redeeming love.

5. They pray a lot! Praying is a direct link to God. They believe that God will do greater things than we can ever imagine; and they pray for it to happen.

6. They make disciples. They constantly ask themselves if what they are doing will result in disciples. If the strategy is only for people to hear, then the Gospel will not spread. Mission-minded people know the importance of discipleship.

7. They meet human needs while sharing the Gospel. Mission-minded people believe it doesn't matter how many wells a person digs or how many orphans they feed if they are not following Christ's mandate to take the Gospel to those who have not heard. They contend that if a person is not sharing Jesus, they are wasting time and money.

8. They believe that being mission-minded is not a "task." It's a lifestyle. They live out missions in their everyday life. From the moment they wake up until they go to bed, they impact the world around them.

9. They are relational. They are willing to leave their own "bubble" to make relationships with those considered the "least of these." They have an awareness of the people around them and look for ways to build a relationship that will lead to sharing Christ and discipleship.

10. They go! It doesn't matter where God tells them to go -- Timbuktu or Kalamazoo -- they grow where God plants them. And, they are willing to move on when He says, "Go!"

11. They see people with a future. When they look at an unreached people group, they see potential "brothers and sisters" in Christ. They see that eternity and joy are available for everyone and are excited to share it.

12. They send! They know that we are responsible for ALL people groups hearing the Gospel. They follow the example from the book of Acts to "send" out other mission-minded people. They support them in any way possible.

13. They understand "the task" is not done. Mission-minded people know that once they have reached their family and friends with Christ, they are not done. There are still billions in the world that have not proclaimed

Preaching

image;;;;;image

Don’t preach yourself – Over the years our own flesh has this amazing ability to get used to being the centre of attention. If you are naive enough to believe the polite comments you receive after preaching are objective evaluations of your ministry significance, then you can easily start to buy into your own hype. Please don’t.

Do preach Christ – The Gospel is not a self-starting life-change program, it is good news that involves us introducing listeners to God in Christ. Don’t preach self-help programs, or church programs, or Christian morality, or even Christianity . . . preach Christ. Make 2015 a year marked by a weekly introduction to a heart-capturing Saviour!

What Is The Blessing of the Lord

So just what do we mean the Lord has richly blessed us?  Generally we tend to think that the blessings are material and physical.  (Which He does for sure)

But more than that, He has bless me with a beautiful wife, inside and outside, (Proverbs 18:22) Whoso hath found a wife hath found good, And bringeth out good-will from Jehovah.

He has bless me a salvation that keeps me safe  Psalms 68:19 :Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Habakkuk 3:19  Jehovah the Lord [is] my strength, And He doth make my feet like hinds, And on my high-places causeth me to tread. To the overseer with my stringed instruments!
